Rwandan Elsa Iradukunda, 18, has been crowned Miss Rwanda 2017 in a pageant that took place recently in Kigali.
Iradukunda was selected from 15 finalists, representing all the regions of Rwanda.
During the contest, Guelda Shimwa emerged the first runner up, followed by Linda Umutoniwase, 20.
Queen Kalimpinya, 18, emerged the third runner up, while Fanique Umuhoza Isimbi, 18, emerged the fourth runner up.
As part of awards, Iradukunda will be paid for one year a monthly salary of Rwf 800,000 (about US$1,000), according to the organisers.
She also went home with a brand new Suzuki Swift vehicle, worth Rwf15 million (about US$18,000).
