Zambia beat Senegal to lift AFCON trophy

Zambia crowned a wonderful performance at the 2017 U20 AFCON with a 2-0 victory over Senegal to lift the trophy in the final match played at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

The Young Chipolopolo scored both goals in the first half to put the icing on the cake of their sparkling form throughout the tournament in Zambia.

Patson Daka set the Zambians on the road to victory with the first goal in the 17th minute and Edward Chilufya scored the second in the 35th minute to the delight of the jubilant home crowd.

Guinea beat South Africa 2-1 in the match for third place played earlier.
